The Rower Ergo is an additional, easy to install instrument for all CONCEPT II INDOOR ROWERS.

With this instrument it is possible to precise measure online heart rate, force and length of each stroke. Using software package Expert 2.0 following parameters are calculated:

- Elapsed time [s]

- Force average [N]

- Stroke number [Nr]

- Force peak [N]

- Drive time [ms]

- Time to force peak [ms]

- Recovery time [ms]

- Favr/Fpeak [%]

- Rhythm [%]

- Favr/Body weight [%]

- Strokes per minute [1/min]

- Power per stroke [W]

- Time per stroke [ms]

- Power average [W]

- Time total [s]

- Work per stroke [J]

- Stroke length [cm]

- Work total [J]

- Handle velocity [m/s]

- Heart rate [1/min]

Using the same software for measurements of signals in boat (Rower Expert Light) and on Indoor Rower, it became possible to analyse similar parameters throughout the year, in summer and winter conditions.

It is easy to prepare the instrument for the measurement:
  • Remove cover
  • Pull chain up and away from flywheel
  • Place device so that chain sits on pulleys

  • Place upper pulley and tighten nut
  • Connect serial cable to device

  • Connect serial cable to pc. And the system is prepared for the measurement!
